HAPPY HUMP DAY! Does anyone else love that commercial with the camel in it? I adore it, it makes me laugh every time. Though, it did take me a while to understand why wednesday was hump day.
Don't ask me, you will have to figure it out for yourselves. HA!
Anyways, today I wanted to talk to you about a product that I've been trying out for the past few days. It usually doesn't take me a long time to determine whether I like a product or not so I only tried it out for about four to five days. So get excited because this is my very first review here in our little world of bubbly awesomeness. Okay, let's jump right in shall we? We shall...
This past weekend my mother and I took our usual trip to Target (that place is beyond heaven!) and while I was checking out some new beauty products to try out my mother picked up a bright bottle that I instantly recognized. I intended on picking up the product before but never got around to it and not wanting to be too late on the band wagon we went ahead and picked it.
And if you read the title of this letter then you know that it was the Olay Fresh Effects {Bead Me Up!} Exfoliating Cleanser. Wow that is a mouth full; but you can't say that ten times fast.
Dermatologically Tested~Oil-Free
The instructions were like any other facial cleanser, just with a little more fun to add to its more vibrant line: Splash your face. Dispense a small amount of product into hands. Add water and work into a lather...
After spending the past six or so months admiring beauty gurus on YouTube if there is one thing that i've learned it is to ALWAYS look at the ingredients. After going through all of them and confusing myself with all of the different names there was one ingredient in particular that I never remember hearing before: Panthenol. So of course I did my research.
Panthenol (in my opinion) is somewhat like Glycerin. Pnathenol is a penetrating moisturizer which absorbs into the skin and hair. It can be converted into Pantothenic Acid which is a B complex vitamin. Panthenol assists skin care products by retaining water as well as absorbing it from the air, aiding in skin and hair moisturization.
Now, one thing that I found interesting was the constant use of the word microbeads all over the packaging. When I heard microbeads I expect to see beads like I do with my Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser or for it to at least be blue like it is on the front of the tube but its white! You can't see any beads, just a white cream.
Though, it is not a creamy consistency. You can literally tilt the tube over and the product would come slowly pouring out. So it is very watery.
Once you rub it though, you will be surprised to see and feel the true to name microbead pieces. It also builds into a nice lather.
I've tried the product both in the morning, night, out of shower, and in shower. Being that I have combination skin I always try to be cautious of products that either dry my skin out or make it seem oily. With this product, I find that in the morning although it made my skin nice and soft it did dry it out just a bit, whether in the shower or out. At night on the other hand, especially in these hot summer nights it is so gentle that it makes my skin feels amazing and I was able to see results in the morning. (Well minus this blasted breakout on my forehead, I new that soda wasn't worth it.)
Even though this new line by Olay is more targeted to the teenage age group my mother does in fact LOVE IT!! So it older women can also enjoy this product(probably because it still holds that old lady powder scent with just a hint of citrus).
Overall, my mother and I would give this product 3 out 4 thumbs up. (Most of these thumbs up came from the packaging though because it so ADORABLE)
That concludes my first review. I hope you enjoyed. I hope it wasn't too long. Did I put you to least? Sorry if I did. If i didn't thanks for sticking with me.
Comment below what you thought of this review and let me know of any products you would like for me to test out for you ^.^
Sincerely, Atira...
