Dear Friends,
I am oh so sorry I haven't wrote to you in about three days. I feel so bad but don't worry because I have an excuse. Recently I've been extremely busy and just a bit stressed. So, I am here to plead my case and it might not be the most entertaining story but at least its the truth.
On Wednesday the 10th of July I checked twitter and heard that Ed Sheeran would be here in New York performing for the Today Show. I do not consider Ed Sheeran a performer, but my best friend. He is a beautiful person inside and out and I just love him to pieces. And being that the Today Show at Rockefeller Center is just a train ride away I made sure I was there. Since I honestly have NO friends that like or care for Ed Sheeran I was going to go by myself around 3 A.M so that I could get a good spot in the crowd.
When I told my loving mother (hi mommy ^.^) about this she insisted on coming and her coming meant my little brother coming as well. Now don't get me wrong, I love my little brother to death. But he like any other younger sibling is annoying. He tries to like Ed Sheeran because I do and although I appreciate that I sometimes find it a bit rude (Not sure if that's the right word but it's the only thing I could think of) because he is still young (10 years old) and doesn't understand the true meanings of Ed's words but I do appreciate that he tries to share this with me.
Anywho, we arrived to Rockerfeller Center around 5 A.M. and the concert was set to begin at 7. We easily blended into the middle of the large crowd (almost 1,000 people showed up) and soon we were seeing Ed. This was my very first time seeing Ed perform and I was beyond excited( I'm still shaking). Sadly, I didn't take any photos because my camera broke before I left the house but I did take videos and when I can get them converted to the computer I will be sure to send them to you guys.
Overly joyed that I got a spot directly in the center of the crowd I sang along with all of the other people and realized that Ed Sheeran is real. He wasn't just someone who's music I listened to religiously anymore; no he was a human. He there before my eyes with ginger hair and tattoos. Seeing the way he behaves on stage and how comfortable he was with the crowd with my own eyes was the greatest feeling ever.
And that feeling died when my brother saw the Nintendo store. He complained like nobody's business and made sure that everyone knew he wanted to go to the Nintendo store. He complained about being short and not being able to see, people bumping into him, he was bored, he was hungry, and everything under the sun. he might as well have complained about global warming while he was at it.
Then Abraham Lincoln swooped down on a bald eagle and sprayed us all with glitter. I'm lying, figured I would give you some sort of excitement.
Anywho, after three songs I decided that I would put my mother out of her embarrassment and we would leave. Being that it was only 7:45 in the morning and the Nintendo store was still closed we went to grab a bite to eat and when we got back to Rockefeller Center Ed was singing his last and one of my favorite songs ever which is "You Need Me Man I Don't You" which i highly recommend you check out because it is amazing.
Overall it was an amazing day with its ups and downs but i'm still glad that I had the opportunity to see my best friend a.k.a Ed Sheeran perform live. I definitely hope that i'd be able to see him again.
Wow, this letter was very long! I am sorry if I bored you with my story. Bet you excited about the bald eagle though. LOL.
Alright, i'll leave you lovely people with this for now. I'll try my best to not leave you hanging for so long again. I have about two or three letters planned for after this one. So get excited!
Sincerely, Atira
